This project is, in simple terms, a wrapper for speedtest-cli.
The biggest gripe I’ve had with speedtest is that it will only test a single server at a time. This program will query speedtest for a list of servers in a location, in my case, Perth (or Sydney, or what-have-you) then it will run a speedtest against each of the servers in the location. It can be limited to a number of servers if necessary. It will also output the results to a file.
Run the script with -h for more information.
Clone the repository and run the script in src. Alternatively, copy it to your~/bin directory.
$ improved-speedtest --logging Perth
will run the speedtest against all servers matching location Perth. It will write a file in the working directory.
